The product was born from Ambientec's unique idea to create a mobile LED light designed as a handheld light, that could be possible to put in the suitcase and take with on the travels. Torr is the result of an original concept, a mobile task light for daily use that requires the installation area of only 6cm square Normally, when we want to work at our desks we need to move to a place where the light already is, but with this lighting, we can bring the light to a place where we want to work or where people are present. This function brings an impact on changing your lifestyle more convenient and fun.
To make it as small as possible without sacrificing any function, the head part at the end of the body can be rotated to retract the light and turn the switch on and off. Torr is fit for several situations such as working light, table light, and bedside lamp since it's a dimmer function and high color rendering. 手元灯りとして設計されたモバイルLED照明を、持ち運ぶだけでなく、例えばスーツケースに詰めて旅に連れて行けないか？というAmbientec社の発想から生まれた製品。可能な限りコンパクトに作るという設計思想の結果、わずか6cm四方の設置面積があれば使用可能な、日常使いも可能なモバイルタスクライトとなりました。普段我々が何かデスクで作業をしようとしたら普通は手元明かりがある場所に人が移動していきますが、この照明は人がいる場所あるいは作業したい場所に自由にあかりを持ってくることが可能となるのです。これは実はライフスタイルを楽しくする方向にインパクトをもたらします。
できるだけ小さく、かつ機能を犠牲にすることがないように、本体の一端にあるヘッド部分を回転させることで照明部分を収納可能とし、スイッチをON/OFFさせるようにしました。調光もでき、高い演色性を備えているためワーキングライトからテーブルライト、ベッドサイドでの使用など汎用性は非常に高いものになっています。2017年ミラノデザインウィーク、Spazio Rossana Orlandiの展示に向けて制作され、その後に発売になりました。
