“Figure of Light” at ALCOVA, Milan Design Week 2022

The solo exhibition at ALCOVA 2022 held at the former military hospital during Milan Design Week 2022. Under the title of "Figure of Light," I exhibited four lighting fixtures, including OCULUS, that reinterpret the appearance of light. The lamps were presented quietly in a space using a room in an old building in a beautiful location.
Being in a space surrounded by rocks and architecture can sharpen one's sense of light and even evoke emotional feelings. This project attempts to reconstruct and express in the realm of design the beautiful relationship between light and place found in caves, ravines, and elaborate architecture.

ミラノデザインウィーク2022において、ミラノ市内にある軍事病院跡にて開催されたALCOVA2022内での個展。「Figure of Light」と名し、OCULUSを初めとする、文字通り光の姿を再解釈した照明4点を展示しました。美しいロケーションにある古い建物の一室を用いた空間で、照明の姿を静かに提示しています。
岩や建築物に囲まれた空間にいると、光に対しての感覚が研ぎ澄まされ情緒的な感情を抱くことすらもあります。このプロジェクトでは自然界の洞窟や渓谷、あるいは精巧な建築において見られる光と場所の美しい関係をデザインの領域で再構築し表現することを試みます。
