Won the Good Design Award by Chicago Athenaeum 2019 – Colander & Bowl

It was a great honor to announce that Colander and Bowl I designed for Like-it Inc. had won the Good Design Award of Chicago Athenaeum, 2019. This was the sixth international design award winner for Colander and Bowl and the first in North America to win a design award. Good Design is the oldest and the most prestigious Awards Program organized worldwide. Founded in Chicago in 1950 by the former MoMA curator Edgar Kaufmann Jr., together with such pioneers in modern design as Charles and Ray Eames, Russel Wright, George Nelson, and Eero Saarinen, Good Design honors the yearly achievements of the best industrial and graphic designers and world manufacturers for their pursuit of extraordinary design excellence.
Colander and Bowlがシカゴ・アテナエウム主催のグッドデザインアワード2019を受賞。Colander and Bowlはこれで6個目の国際デザイン賞の受賞となり、北米での初めてのデザイン賞受賞となりました。グッドデザインアワードは世界で最も古く、最も権威のあるアワードプログラムとされています。1950年にMoMAの元キュレーター、エドガー・カウフマン・ジュニアによってシカゴで設立、チャールズイームズ、レイ・イームズ、ラッセル・ライト、ジョージ・ネルソン、エーロ・サーリネンなどのモダンデザインの先駆者たちとともに、優れたデザイナーやメーカーが、卓越したデザインを追求した功績を称えられ、毎年表彰されています。
